Living Will Notarization

A Living Will documents your end-of-life care wishes. Michael notarizes it wherever you are, with the same care he brings to every senior-focused appointment.

A Florida Living Will lets a person state their wishes about life-prolonging procedures in advance. Like healthcare directives, Florida allows a living will to be signed before either a notary or two witnesses.

Do witnesses need to be present for a Florida living will?

A Florida living will must be signed in the presence of either a notary public or two witnesses — not both. When Michael notarizes the document, separate witnesses are not required by statute, though some families choose to have them present anyway. Check with your attorney if your specific document requires witnesses.

Can a living will be updated or does it need to be redone?

A living will can be revoked or replaced at any time while the person has capacity to do so. Michael can notarize a new or amended living will the same way as the original — he does not advise on when or how to update the document itself.

Is this available for hospice patients?

Yes. Michael frequently works with hospice patients and their families, coordinating directly with hospice staff on timing and any care considerations for the visit.

Michael notarizes documents — he does not prepare legal documents or provide legal advice. For guidance on which documents you need, please consult a licensed Florida attorney.
